Laptops are becoming more and more affordable, so the demand for servicing and maintenance is growing. Working as a technician or starting a laptop repair business can be a well-paying career with a low barrier to entry.
After the success of our first 2 courses, we are looking for your support to offer the laptop repair training 3 times per year for free at our training facilities in Reyhanli and Iskenderun.
The majority of our graduates got a better-paid job or even started their own small enterprises.
What skills do we teach?
The curriculum includes 12 weeks of instructor-led classroom training (250 hours), practical projects, and a final assessment.
At the end of the course, the trainees can:
Identify the basic components and their functions
Verify assembled components
Understand security and preventive maintenance
Identify hardware and software problems
Troubleshoot common hardware and software related problems
We have offered the training twice already in Reyhanli and 100% of our trainees completed the course and passed the final examinations.
Why we chose those skills?
We designed the course based on the work opportunities in the areas where we operate. It helps our residents find better-paid jobs, support their families, and live in dignity.
Many refugees never graduated school due to conflict and missed out on important learning that would have helped them pursue a work occupation and have a stable income. So they embrace the chance to learn practical skills as a way to remedy the lost education, gain the chance to develop professionally, and earn more than the minimum wage.
